Senior Android Engineer

Apps for millions by day. My own ideas by night.

7+ years of experience building large-scale consumer apps across ride-hailing, payments and travel. Outside of work, I love turning ideas into real products across web and mobile.

Career at a glance

  1. Grab, Singapore

    2025 to present

    Senior Software Engineer (Android)

Platform team, owning the Android Analytics SDK. I develop and maintain the SDK infrastructure that handles high-volume event tracking across the app, with a focus on scalability and reliability.

    2022 to 2025

    Software Engineer (Android)

Transport team. Built and shipped features for the ride-hailing experience, making sure releases landed on time and worked reliably for millions of users.

  2. 2020 to 2022

    Senior Android Developer

    LinkAja, Indonesia

Led the migration of the app to a multi-module architecture, cutting build times and speeding up release cycles.

  3. 2019 to 2020

    Android Developer

    Traveloka, Indonesia

User Platform team. Maintained shared app components such as Saved Items and carousel lists, used across multiple product teams.

My own products

Four live products. Try one.

  1. Lumora in use: a guest opens the event camera, takes three photos and winds the film after each, sees the roll sealed until the reveal, then opens the developed album.

    01 / 04

    Lumora

A disposable camera for your event.

Guests scan a QR code and shoot in the browser, with no app and no account. The album develops live, at a set time or the next morning.

    Under the hood

Each guest’s phone develops its own photos. The browser applies the film look and uploads straight to storage, so a full room of guests never queues behind one small server.

  2. Trippa in use: a buyer opens a jastiper’s Tokyo trip, adds items priced in rupiah, orders with a name and a WhatsApp number, then sees the order page with the amount to transfer.

    02 / 04

    Trippa

Pre-orders and storefronts for jastip trips.

A jastiper shares one storefront link. Buyers order with a name and a phone number, and pay the jastiper directly by bank transfer or QRIS.

    Under the hood

Orders can’t oversell. Each order runs in one database transaction, and stock only goes down if enough is left, so two buyers can’t both get the last item.

  3. Learn Studio in use: the Android course path, then a first lesson answered one tap at a time, ending on Perfect lesson and a 1 day streak.

    03 / 04

    Learn Studio

Learn to code on your phone.

Tap-only lessons with streaks and XP. It installs like an app and keeps working when you’re offline.

    Under the hood

Progress is saved as a log of finished lessons, not a running total. Two phones used offline merge cleanly when they reconnect, with no XP lost or counted twice.

  4. Petwar in use: three players ready up, each picks a face-down ranger, then a turn on the phone: a card from the hand, a glowing lane tapped, and the other players’ cards played in reply.

    04 / 04

    Petwar

A live card game for 2 to 6 players.

An unofficial fan-made card game based on the Petwar card game by Canvas Ranger (opens in a new tab).

Pet battles played live in the browser, with room for spectators and a layout made for phones.

    Under the hood

The server runs the game. Players only send moves, the server checks each one, and every player gets their own view of the board, so no one can see another player’s hand.

How I build

Every layer, one builder.

From the screen your customers tap to the server it runs on. You talk to one person for all of it.

  1. 01

    Mobile

Native Android apps built for scale, the craft I’ve practiced for 7+ years.

    Kotlin · Jetpack Compose

  2. 02

    Screens

Fast, phone-first web apps, from Lumora’s browser camera to Learn Studio’s offline lessons.

    Next.js · React

  3. 03

    Logic

Trippa’s orders, Lumora’s photo uploads and Petwar’s live games, all handled on the server.

    Go · Node

  4. 04

    Data

Accounts, records and sync across devices, so progress and orders are never lost.

    PostgreSQL · Supabase

  5. 05

    Payments and alerts

QRIS and card payments, plus Telegram updates the moment something happens.

    QRIS · Stripe · Telegram

  6. 06

    Hosting

Some products live on Vercel, others on my own servers with Docker. I keep them all running.

About me

A bit about me.

Outside of code, tennis keeps me grounded. I play weekly and still working on a backhand I’m proud of. I also love to travel, and I can’t help building for it too: my trips usually come with their own itinerary website.
